Our unique process allows us to create and hand paint your photos into
custom works of Art. Here is how we do it!
This is just the "basic" process. There are many more steps involved in a custom painting.
1. I paint on a Wacom digital tablet. It allows me to work as if I was using traditional paints and canvas..
2. I first take a photo that a member of a squadron has emailed or snail mailed to me.
3. I take the photo and scan it into the computer and convert it into grey-scale line art.
4. Once I have the reference points mapped out on the line art, I choose my colors and start painting.
5. I then add the details, coloring and the markings from the photographs...
6. I will then add the image, if necessary to other images for dynamic effects...such as a carrier deck.
7. This along with the other details of your squadron print will be combined into the finished print. I
will send you a digital proof to make sure all is well and then the print will be printed and mailed to you.
